If we could sum up the Dublin experience it would have to be a pint of Guinness in Mulligan's pub in Poolbeg Street.

If you want something truly unique in terms of a Dublin experience make your way to the Great South Wall on Pigeon House Road (essentially the two huge big chimneys that you can see down where the Liffey meets the sea). The pier built in 1700s was the world's longest pier at the time of its building. You would drive it rather than walk it as you go through all the shipping yards. But when you walk the pier you get to see all the ships coming in from Liverpool and the great view of Howth and South Dublin.
