Business in Ireland

We have assembled some useful business-related links. The CSO.ie is helpful for macro economic statistics in addition to the Department of Finance (www.finance.gov.ie). Economic forecasts can be found at the ESRI (www.esri.ie) and specific trading firms such as Davy (www.davy.ie) and Goodbody, NCB (listed to the right). The Irish Times and the Irish Independent have good day-to-day business sections with more detail than RTE.ie. To start a business you have to register your company name with the Companies Registration Office (www.cro.ie) and contact the Revenue.ie. Enterprise Ireland is the Irish government agency responsible for the development and promotion of the indigenous business sector (www.enterprise-ireland.com) while the IDA (www.idaireland.com) is responsible for the attraction and development of foreign investment in Ireland.
